Project Specifications
The building, designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Thom Mayne, contains 224 student rooms, 4 faculty/staff apartments, 38,100 square feet of instructional/administrative space, 246 parking spaces, and approximately 6,400 square feet of ground floor retail space.
CLC carried out a detailed zoning and land use analysis, and prepared and filed applications for land use entitlements including a General Plan Amendment, Zone Change and Height District Change and Site Plan Review. This project, which included an Environmental Impact Report and actions by the Community Redevelopment Agency, was approved by the L.A. City Planning Commission and the L.A. City Council.
The project was completed in 2014, and has won various design awards from local organizations including the AIA Los Angeles, Los Angeles Business Council and Westside Urban Forum.
